Detail and no-line watercolor uses very light outlines, often stamped in pale ink, to create a soft, hand-painted look without harsh borders. Start with faint lines, then apply loose washes of color. Build depth through layered glazing after each layer dries. Finish with subtle details and darker accents to define shapes and add dimension without relying on heavy outlines. Pro tip: Want a lighter outline? Stamp off!

Starting with the September Paper Pumpkin kit, these new ink spots are designed just for Stampin'Up! and are comfortable to use. Their 1" × 1-1/2" size fits comfortably in your hand, while the ink surface helps provide consistent ink coverage on your stamps.
Compact by design. They’re travel-sized, ideal for crafting on the go, and fit neatly in smaller craft spaces. To keep them lightweight, they're non-magnetic by design.
Smart storage. The opaque cases are designed to stack with the felt pad facing down, keeping the ink at the surface and ready to use, while the color label on top helps identify each spot.
Made for more than stamping. The squeezable lid lets you transfer ink for watercoloring. Because the lid fits closely, a small amount of ink transfer inside the lid is normal.
Create custom spots. Uninked spots will be sold in a set so customers can create custom ink pads. At a later date, we'll share a printable template to label custom spots, along with details about where to find it.

Looking for inspiration? Sketches are a fantastic place to start!

This month’s Creative Challenge invites you to create a project using the sketch shown below. For our Scenic Coast card, we created a soft, muted look by dragging the White Craft Stampin’ Pad across the Designer Series Paper in the background. (Tip: Tap the Embossing Buddy over the craft ink to help it dry.) This technique tones down the colors of the background piece just enough so the rounded corners really pop.
