In addition, the curators at Beatport have included the Extended Remix in the Best New Hype MainStage for July 2026!

I’ve never fully committed to a Melodic Techno track because I tend to break too many rules that annoy the Techno elite. However, this one just naturally flowed out of me. I blended Main Stage energy with the type of musical style you might hear in a cyberpunk video game to create an interpretation I thought Joel would enjoy. The arpeggiated filtered bass in the intro sets the tone for this remix, diverging from the melodic beauty of the original mix. I carefully engineered the contrast between the kick and low-end bass in the first drop, ensuring it pumps without being overpowering. The tension builds steadily until it reaches the break, where the vocal and piano finally receive their due, followed by an even more intense build-up into the second drop. This remix is designed to shred on a large sound system and move the dance floor. This is deadmau5 - Science feat. Stevie Appleton (LJ MTX Remix).
