With great regret and a heavy heart I am officially announcing that there will no longer be a Lifefest event. I have been in serious thought about this for months, and I see no upside of continuing the event. It comes down to not having enough community support and people willing to donate enough time to help make this event succeed. Lifefest itself does not have the equipment nor do I personally to pull off the entire event and the lack of support has left me with no choice but to discontinue Lifefest. With that said I wish to thank every band, musician, sound guy, volunteer and the families we have helped. In the 6 years of the event we have raised over $15000 to help local children and there families. I want yo thank Jack and Debbie Rash for there support with giving us a venue to hold Lifefest and help so many kids. I want to thank all my family and friends that have helped to make it all happen. Also a big thanks to Danny Blevins for helping me get it going in the right direction. And lastly I would like to thank wach and every sponsor that either donated money, auction items, services and time to make it a reality.

Lifefest is looking for a sound crew with ample PA system to run 8 bands on an outdoor stage. June 8th around Cherryvale Kansas, we are changing venues this year which will allow us to expand to have more camping and make more money for our cause. I am in talks right now with a few different venue locations near Cherryvale, and hope to have one locked in by the end of February. Band submissions will start this Friday thru the end of March. There are only 7 slots plus our special big headliner. More info in the next few weeks some big changes this year to make it a bigger and bettet event.

Sorry for such a delay in posting, it's. Been a long weekend and needed time to recouperate. A bit. I want to thank every band for there support in our cause. I stacked the BOTH with the best bands I could find and it was amazing, the talent all on one stage. And it was the closest competition yet. The Friday outdoor bands were killer and all you country red dirt fans missed out on the best show in the area with the best musicians in that genre. Jake Flint, The Garrett Brown Band and Subject to Change just killed it with awesome performances. On the indoor stage Friday night Caddywhompus and Left of Center rocked it out with old school and new age rock. The attendance was way down this year for having good weather so we didn't make as much money for the cause but it was still a killer show . Class Clown Productions once again provided some intense sound and could be heard on the other side of Cherryvale. I want to personally thank Travis Cox and Stan Shapher for all there hard work in helping to set up run and tear down the show. I will post exactly how much were raised as soon as I get all the paper work in line and all the numbers in. Also a big congratulations to Edge of Zephyr for winning the BOTH for the 2nd year in a row, in the closest competition yet.

Finally, it is going to be a beautiful weekend for Lifefest. Yes it will be hot but we do have a few shade trees, and pop up tents are welcome. We have more vendors this year and a lot of fun games for father and son/daughter to compete in. Also 2 large blow up bounces, a giant slide and obs-tickle course. two big raffle items. The KC Chiefs donated an autographed photo of Travis Kelce and a set of custom made boards and bags (co****le) with a Star Wars theme on them. So bring the whole family for some fun and great music. The bouncy houses will be up on Saturday only all day.

One week away from the biggest music event in southeast Kansas and its for a good cause. The best lineup the most fun for the entire family. Please share as much as you can all week

I am looking for a fe people to help hangs Lifefest flyers in Sek and Neo areas if anyone would like to help let me know and how many flyers you need. They need to be hung out this week if all possible. Thanks for any help you can give. And also I am looking for more volunteers to help with the event on June 15-16

Here is an update on Lifefest. I am finishing up a few small details on some special fun activities for Father's Day weekend. So kids of all ages bring your dad out for some fun and competition. Also the Kansas City Chiefs are sending a autographed item for a raffle we will be having that weekend. Last year it was a signed football by Jeremy Maclin. Mark your calendars June 15-16
