New Art Alert!

I have three teeny *tiny* paintings in the show "Nature's Canvas" at the University of Wisconsin- Madison Arboretum Visitor Center in May and June, then at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland, WI in July and September.

After that, all the work will be auctioned off online to support the Wisconsin Master Naturalist program.

One of my new pieces, "Girl with the Time" is being displayed at the Reif Gallery in Womanspace here in Rockford as part of the Spring Art Scene through April 24th.

The same work will also be featured in the April 2026 edition of Monochromica: The Journal of Monochrome Art. Once the issue is printed, I'll post a pdf link.

Hi friends and followers!

I was recently accepted into two more art shows- one here in Rockford, IL and one in Waukegan, IL. I'll share the new pieces that will be displayed at the shows soon.

As I'm starting to make new art, I am running out of recycled/reclaimed/reusable materials. My "holy grail" items are:

-colored bread tags
-colored soda/energy drink tabs
-colored soda/beer bottle metal tops

As always- items smaller than a quarter- broken jewelry, beads, buttons, medicine vial tops, toys, champagne or sparkling wine metal discs, keys, golf tees-- you get the idea--are appreciated, too.

If you have any of these treasures to donate, I'll happily pay shipping. Thanks so much for supporting my art.

My art is up at the Beloit Art Center for the next three months. I spent the morning in the back of the gallery trying to pick hot glue strands out of my work, rogue dog hair, and fixing about 6 little pieces of magic that fell off when they were hung.

Thank you to all my friends that have donated trash/recyclables/toys to me: Kelly, Tara, Nicole, Kristen, Diane, Katelyn, Rachel, Cindi, Jean and everyone else. I don't think I'm finished displaying my work in SW FL but I'm glad Wisconsin now has a taste of my art.

Today I picked up a self-portrait from a gallery show titled, "Age is Just a Number." It's me made out of my current age, 44. I've never done a self portrait before. Don't be afraid to try something new. I also picked up a check for my first art sale in Illinois...it was a paper rose collage (that I forgot to photograph) bought by Elaine, the founder of Womanspace, where I display my work.

I'm trying to hault comissions while I try to create new art to display in the Midwest. I'll have more to share, soon. Thanks for liking my page.
