Robert McFarland directs and conducts an original interpretation of Wolgang Amadeus Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute.
(New Jersey and Philadelphia) April 26, 2017 — Now in its 9th season, Opera Seabrook presents the 2017 production of Mozart's The Magic Flute, with performances for the general audience at four different locations: Camden NJ, Cherry Hill NJ, Atlantic City NJ and Philadelphia PA, from May 2 through May 9, and August 6, 2017 (see dates and more information below).

About the Production
A dazzling celebration of true love conquering all, The Magic Flute transports audiences into an unconventional fantasy world. Artistic director Robert McFarland in collaboration with Pattricia Patino, awaken the magic of this love story with a fabulous cast dressed in surreal costumes created by international costumer Eddy Lamar (Eddy Lamar Creaciones, Colombia) and makeup inspirations by Faces by Fre, completing this ensemble with props made by Colombian artist Ofelia Franco (Franc).
This year Opera Seabrook is happy to announce two new venues. One is the majestic St. Augustine Church in Old City Philadelphia, and the other one is the fantastic Dante Theater in Atlantic City.
The Cast: Soprano Lily Arbisser makes her company debut as Pamina, with tenor Clifford Bechtel as Tamino. Also debuting, baritone Gregory Voinier is the lovable bird catcher Papageno, bass Daniel Glaudel as wise Sarastro, soprano Rachael Lipson as the Queen of the Night, tenor Isai Jess Muñoz as Monostatos, soprano Kat Liu as Papagena, soprano Laurice Kennel as First Lady, and Margaret Yefimenko as Third Lady.
The cast also features three current members of Opera Seabrook in the following roles: soprano Christy Sutton as Second Lady, baritone John Rudolph as The Speaker and actors Bobby Baker as the Priest and Taylor McFarland as the Spirits. And the dangerous Serpent is featured by dancers from the Creative Arts Morgan Academy.
