I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Sidney PRCA Rodeo in “Rodeo Town USA”! It was a great production put on by Cervi Rodeo Company. Everyone involved was so kind and helpful.

Both Friday and Saturday I was able to participate in grand entry, push cattle, and do a queen lap. Saturday I also was given the chance to ride in Sidney’s Rodeo Days Parade and help with mutton busting. I was able to spend time with Miss Iowa Highschool Rodeo and Little Miss Burwell Rodeo.

Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss Sidney Iowa Rodeo 2026, Dacey Henneman. It was great getting to know her and she is going to do a fantastic job representing the Sidney PRCA over this next year.

On Thursday, I was able to attend the IRR production in Fort Dodge. It was great to meet their Queen Raelynn Wildeboar and get to see some familiar faces. Tayah Carter with TLC Photography who served as Miss Rodeo Cherokee 2025 was there, capturing great moments for all involved.

I was able to do a Queen lap and push cattle. I had a wonderful time meeting some of the great people that keep the IRR running smoothly and see the community they have created.

I was so great full for the opportunity to represent the Cherokee PRCA Rodeo at my own county fair, Wright County. After I long week of showing livestock, I rounded it out by making an appearance at the “Books at the Fair” event and riding in the rodeo.

I was invited to “Books at the Fair” so I could teach children about the rodeo way of life. I read a book and colored crowns with them while sharing rodeo facts and answering questions. Later in the day Wright Rodeo was kind enough to allow me to carry flags in grand entry and push cattle.

I had a great time representing Cherokee at my own home county fair and getting to share my love of rodeo with people I have known for years. Thank you to everyone who attended my event and all who helped.

This week I was able to attend a rodeo I have always wanted to see. The Leon rodeo was kind enough to invite me so I could carry flags, run a queen lap, and push cattle on the second night of their great production.

Two days later, I was honored to ride in the Belmond parade on the 4th of July with my 4-H club. I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th and a great time celebrating the 250th birthday of this amazing country!

I was honored to spend this past weekend in Edgewood Iowa at the Edgewood Pro Rodeo. Three Hills Ranch, Inc. put on a fantastic performance that was so enjoyable for all who attended.

I had a great time with Miss Rodeo Iowa, Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa, and I was even able to meet Miss Rodeo Wisconsin. I started this weekend by being in the towns parade. I also attended the fireman’s breakfast, helped with mutton busting, and got to run a queen lap both days I was there.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jim and Jody Kerns who invited all of the queens into their beautiful home and gave us a place to stay.

My name is Adelynn Howell and I am proud to be serving as your 2026 Miss Rodeo Cherokee. I am 17 years old and from Clarion, Iowa. Some of my main activities include FFA, showing livestock, and playing high school sports. I also help my grandparents in running our century farm where we row crop and raise sheep.

This coming academic year I will be graduating high school as well as obtaining my Associates of Science from Iowa Central Community College. I plan on transitioning to Iowa State to earn a Bachelors in Animal Science and then progress into veterinary school with a focus on equine or large animal medicine.

I currently own two horses that I love to do everything with. I enjoy trail riding, open shows, barrel racing, and showing in 4-H. Rodeo has been a long time passion of mine and I cannot wait to become more involved with this organization we all cherish.

I had an amazing time at the 60th Cherokee PRCA rodeo. I met so many people and formed many friendships I know will last a lifetime. I wanted to thank all of the board and committee members, volunteers, and sponsors that were able to make this outstanding event possible. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. I am so excited for this year of meeting friends and representing this great rodeo!

Well, 37 performances, countless appearances, and thousands of miles later, my time as Miss Rodeo Cherokee 2025 has come to a close.

While it is a happy kind of sad, I got to leave Cherokee this past weekend knowing that I spent my year to the fullest. I went to some bucket list places, I met and made new friendships/relationships, I got the opportunity to ride some incredible horses, I spent time with some of the best stock contractors in the business, but most of all, I spent time being an ambassador for a sport we all love and cherish.

This year, I met some of my best friends. I worked with companies and families who truly embody what our sport is all about. I had wonderful host families/committees everywhere I went. I was blessed with opportunities to spend time in the arena doing what I love while watching contestants make their livelihood.

I had an amazing support system behind me throughout my entire year. Thank you to my parents, who made every trip possible. Thank you to the Cherokee PRCA Rodeo Committee for supporting the title of Miss Rodeo Cherokee. Thank you, Megan, for being the BEST coordinator any girl could ask for. Thank you to every stock contractor and committee who allowed me to come be just a little part of a big performance. And last, but certainly not least, thank you to everyone who sponsored my year and supported my fundraisers. Without all of this support, my year would not have been possible.

For the last time, with lots of love,
Your 2025 Miss Rodeo Cherokee
