We’re all abuzz about the birth of our first grandson, and grateful that everyone is healthy and feeling well. Things are extra sweet (and a little sticky) around here as everyone gets settled into a new stage of life, smitten by this tiny wonder.
We’re taking some time off this week, but you can still order online if you need honey, and we’ll be back at all markets at the start of September - bringing extra sweetness for the New Year!

We’ve got your plans for this Sunday! One of Philly’s biggest summer festivals is happening: with SO MANY amazing vendors, artists, food, drink, music and fun, all up and down several blocks of 2nd St in Northern Liberties.
You can find in the section at the corner of Fairmount and 2nd St from 12-8pm with our full selection of honeys, beeswax candles, hats and more. Buzz by to say hi - can’t wait to see you there! 🐝🍯

The fragrance!! 🌹The flavor!! 🍯It’s ready!!✨

Rose bushes planted. Patiently waited (2 yrs). Finally blooming. Petals picked, day after day, week after week (always leaving some for the pollinators). Rinsed, dried, ready, just in time for our freshly harvested spring honey! Stirred, infused, waited. Repeat x 4 weeks.
This is unquestionably the best batch of rose petal infused honey I’ve ever made - you can smell the wild rose aroma the moment you open the jar. And the delicate rose flavor is present just enough that you feel it with all your senses. And then you smile, savor, and enjoy. 💖🌹🍯✨
(Available now on our website and at all our upcoming markets & festivals)

This spring honey from our Elkins Park & Glenside hives is absolutely gorgeous - so light it’s almost clear, sweet and floral in flavor with notes of cotton candy and melon.
Available in 32oz and 16oz squeeze jars for now, hopefully with the next round of harvesting we’ll have even more.
Enjoy! 🍯🐝

A morning moment from the unglamorous life of a beekeeper… Who needs glamour when you’ve got such good flavor! (today I used our Coffee Bean Infused honey to make a refreshing iced coffee) 😄☕️🧊🍯
PSA: Keep cool today folks, it’s going to be another HOT one in the northeast - stay hydrated, wear a hat, and don’t forget the sunscreen!

Goooood morning. It is.
Lots of clover, lots of flight traffic, lots of sunshine for the bees. (Lots of sunscreen and water for the humans too!) We’re enjoying the warmth at least for a few days until we drop back into cold rainy weather again…

As beekeepers, we work hard to try and manage colonies during swarm season (a natural phenomenon that usually happens around May in our region), to split them and add more boxes to our hives in order to prevent them from leaving in search of a bigger space.
So it’s always nice when they handle it themselves, and also stay in our yard! (as far as I could tell this was not a swarm from one of our existing colonies, so it’s likely a new colony found its way here from the forest nearby).
Welcome, ladies 🐝

There’s our Quality Inspector, making sure our pure beeswax candles are up to s***f. 😄🐝
