October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and in Alabama, the statistics are staggering. Nearly 1 in 3 women in our state will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. This crisis leaves countless women and children in desperate need of safe spaces, support, and hope. At Prodigal Pottery, a ministry of King’s Home, we are working to bridge the gap for women impacted by domestic violence. We provide not just employment, but a supportive community for women emerging from domestic violence, homelessness, and s*x trafficking. Through creative work and empowerment, we help women rebuild their lives and regain confidence in a nurturing environment.
King’s Home provides safe housing, counseling, and life skills training for those fleeing domestic violence, offering a refuge where families can heal and find stability. Together, we’re helping survivors move from crisis to empowerment, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive.
