I posted this in the Washington Post online today:

I usually agree with your columns Mr. George Will, however I can't in this case.

The U.S. consumers will be buying electric vehicles over gas powered vehicles almost entirely by 2030, and that will happen, not because of Government mandates, but because the electric vehicles will be much cheaper and much better that the gas powered cars. There's no doubt about it.


The government mandates are not necessary for this to happen. The cost of the batteries and the high tech in each electric car will keep coming down, as they have for decades now, while the costs of gas cars will just keep rising.

People will opt for better electric vehicles in greater and greater numbers as time goes on. The electric vehicles cost about half as much to run and maintain as a gas car as well, saving tons of money over the life of each electric vehicle.

If the traitorous Trump wins the Republican nomination in 2024, then I hope Cheney runs as an Independent in November, which should easily take enough votes away from the corrupt and dishonest Trump to insure that the worst President in American history NEVER gets near the White House again. This is great news for those with some hearing loss! Only about two more months....then you can buy hearing aids without a prescription and at a much lower cost. This was long overdue! :)

"Americans will soon be able to buy hearing aids without a prescription.

What to know: The FDA cleared the way for them to be available as soon as mid-October in pharmacies, stores and online for people with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Why this matters: Hearing aids can cost more than $5,000 a pair and aren’t usually covered by insurance. Advocates say over-the-counter models could cost a fraction of that."
