Yesterday, we spent the day rehearsing and collaborating with students and directors from theater programs from 6 other districts at the annual Numerica Performing Arts Center Apple Awards. We had the honor of working with professional choreographer, Greer Gisy, who taught the students choreo for 2 songs, which they performed that same evening in the awards show. Students also worked with a guest director, who reimagined a scene from our 2026 play, The Mysterious Murder at Manchester Manor, which they also performed in the awards show.
Shout out to Jennie Dalgas for supporting our students by bringing her gear to do hair before the show!
We want to thank the LCSD board and administrators for supporting our students’ participation in this outstanding performing arts opportunity to compete and collaborate with other schools.
We also want to thank the Numerica PAC and its sponsors for creating and coordinating this fantastic program for theater students in central Washington.
