I'm playing with tablet weaving patterns. The edge cards have 4 blue threads, and the rest of the pack has 2 blue and 2 white threads. I did some stripes and then started playing with double sided weaving with basic diamonds. I tried to weave my name in double sided weaving but a) I screwed up on the letter "e" and b) the charted alphabet I grabbed was designed for cross stitch and doesn't look right in double sided weaving.

Yes, I finished both dresses in time to wear them to 12th Night!

Say it with me: Piecing is Period.

On extant garments you can see that they didn't even make an attempt at pattern matching in some cases. The pattern runs in all different directions in the little pieces used. So I'm not just being lazy, I'm being historical!

I started this doublet for my friend Tanner a year ago, but life got in the way and I had to set it aside. I did a fit check recently, and he shrunk on me! I had to take in the side back seams, but it's starting to look like an actual garment with the facings sewn on
