✨ Where stories come to life through dance... 🩰🧚‍♀️

Some of the most magical moments in dance happen when children get to use their imaginations.

This photo is from one of our past fairy dances at KipTom, and it perfectly captures the inspiration behind one of our newest classes — Story Book Ballet! 💕📖

Created especially for our 4–6 year old dancers, Story Book Ballet combines beginning ballet technique with music, movement, imagination and story-inspired fun.

Each week, dancers will have the opportunity to explore, pretend, create and, of course, DANCE! ✨

💕 WHAT DOES A TRIAL CLASS AT KIPTOM LOOK LIKE?

Trying a new activity can feel like a big step — for children and parents!

That’s exactly why we offer trial classes. 💕

A trial class gives your child a chance to:

✨ Walk into the studio and get comfortable with the space
✨ Meet their teacher and other dancers
✨ Move, dance and have FUN
✨ Experience a class without the pressure of already knowing what to do
✨ Discover which style of dance feels right for them

They do not need dance experience. They do not need to know the steps. And they certainly don't need to be “good at dance” before they walk through our doors.

Sometimes the most important part of a first class is simply leaving with a smile and saying, “Can I come back?” 💗

That’s what a trial class is all about.

Dance. Connect. Belong. 💕

This picture means so much to me.

Before every show, our Intermediate and Advanced dancers and teachers come together in a circle. It is a tradition at KipTom that I truly treasure.

We pray for a safe and beautiful show. We dedicate our performance to someone special. We recognize and honor our graduating seniors. And our teachers each have an opportunity to share a few words with our dancers before they take the stage.

For just a few moments, everything stops.

It isn't about the costumes, the choreography, the trophies or getting every step exactly right. It's about gratitude, encouragement, connection and being there for one another.

When I look at this picture, I see so much more than a group of dancers standing in a circle. I see years of memories. I see teachers who care deeply about their students. I see dancers supporting one another. I see younger dancers who have grown up before our eyes and seniors preparing to take their next steps in life.

This is what Dance • Connect • Belong means to me.

Dance brings us together.
Connection makes us a family.
And belonging means knowing there will always be a place for you in this circle. 💗

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

This is why I love what I do. 💕

One of the greatest gifts of teaching dance is getting to watch a child grow right before your eyes.

From those younger years filled with excitement and big dreams… to becoming a beautiful, confident and strong dancer — the journey is about so much more than perfecting steps.

It’s confidence. Perseverance. Grace. Friendship. And discovering what you’re capable of along the way.

I feel incredibly honored that families trust KipTom Dance Center to be part of these years in their children’s lives. Watching our dancers grow — both on the dance floor and as young people — will always be one of the greatest joys of what I do. 💗
