And just like that, the 2026 Chautauqua Opera Company season comes to an end!

What an amazing season, filled with so much creativity, curiosity, and passion. Our extraordinary cohort of 16 Young Artists brought so much talent to the Chautauqua community. We can't wait to see what's next in their burgeoning careers.

To our audiences, thank you for your continuous support for the Chautauqua Opera Company, whether through attending performances, seeing us at Opera Invasions around the grounds, or your encouragement and advocacy through your charitable giving. Your engagement makes our work possible and fulfilling, and we wouldn't be here without you.

And of course, we must recognize the incredible Chautauqua Opera Guild, whose steadfast support continues to make our programs possible. Thank you for your partnership and dedication to the future of opera at Chautauqua.

Cheers a great 2026 season!

What happens when Shakespeare’s most bewildered characters take the lead?

Excerpts from ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD by Grammy award-winning composer and librettist Herschel Garfein, based on the play by Tom Stoppard, were presented last week by the 2026 Young Artists in collaboration with musicians of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. A special thank you to guest artist Keith Phares for sharing your artistry with us.
