This is going to be a thing. Every quarter (three months for those spared from business lingo) I will present my top 25 songs of that time frame. The Oscars are Sunday, and although it’s mostly a pay-to-play event where often the best is overlooked in favor of those with the right connections, it’s still a circled date on my calendar every year. Much like the Grammys, you don’t watch to learn about the great performances and cinema you may have missed. If you didn’t already like Kacey Musgraves or “This is America” before watching the Grammys, I don’t think watching those four hours changed your mind. [ 1,099 more word ]
