Excited to be hearing young talented string musicians from our area this afternoon! Season 2️⃣ is on the horizon and we are so excited to meet our new and returning members soon.

Pssst….there is still time to join the magic! Because we have had such a fantastic turnout (especially violinists 😉) this audition season we have opened up August 10th.

Today marks the first day of auditions for Season 2, and we are excited to meet the young talent this afternoon, offering them a chance to gain experience in live auditions. The next audition wave will take place on June 22, and the last audition call is scheduled for August 3. Registration will close on August 1.

Members of the Allegro and Vivo orchestras attended the Chattanooga Youth Symphony final concert last night occupying two rows. It was a magical and aspirational evening and I was proud of my students for listening so well and grateful to the support shown by their families. Bravo to all the young musicians and their wonderful conductor Ismael Sandoval.

Eight of the students on the stage were conducted by me when they were younger.

Two of our current students had siblings playing last night!

We are all looking forward to next Tuesday, our final Summer Concert!

Here is an excellent set of rules about practicing with a metronome. I encourage ALL of our young musicians to improve their relationship with the metronome. Remember, no rehearsal next Monday, February 16th.
