Mark your calendars, because two weeks from today the CSO Wind Quintet will be sharing the story of Rainbow Fish through music! The CSO’s Free Family Concert Series brings classic children’s books every child should read with classical music every child should hear.

Doors will open one hour early for pre-concert activities that include an instrument petting zoo and interactive, story-related craft making. Each 45-minute show begins with a mini-concert performed by CSO musicians then progresses into a magical storybook performance narrated by SDCL Read 20. At the end of each performance families are welcome to stay for a brief puppet meet and greet. Each family will receive a copy of the book to take home and enjoy again and again.

Music in the Wild: Peter and the Wolf

This event is Sold Out.

We had such a fun time playing for the Red Wolves a couple weeks ago and we can’t wait to head over to Reflection Riding again tomorrow! But this time, you get to come along with us! Bring the whole family and an adventurous attitude to enjoy an unforgettable autumn afternoon filled with music, nature, wildlife, and discovery in one of Chattanooga’s most beautiful natural settings. Music in the Wild is an opportunity to spend some time outdoors and see what nature has to offer.

This event will feature a performance by the CSO of Peter and the Wolf, Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved musical adventure. As the story unfolds, different instruments of the orchestra bring Peter, the bird, the duck, the cat, and the wolf vividly to life!
