AVA supports artists and the Chattanooga art community to enhance local visual arts.

AVA is a nonprofit, membership-based organization focused on creating a thriving and diverse visual arts community in Chattanooga and surrounding areas. Our Main Gallery provides a venue to showcase visual artists and exhibitions. The Landis Education Gallery hosts student or other nonprofit art organizations exhibitions’. AVA’s programing is centered on the professional development of visual arti

sts and art students, elevating art appreciation, and promoting visual arts as a means to creating a cohesive community. AVA created the 4 Bridges Arts Festival as a way to advance artists’ careers and expose Chattanooga to fine art from around the United States. This annual festival takes place in April, and provides funding for programming throughout the year. In order to achieve our vision of a healthy and thriving arts community, AVA strives to incorporate the values of inclusivity, diversity and equity-focused programming throughout our agency.

AVA's contract photographer Anh Bao Tran-Le is leading a fun, beginner-friendly workshop covering clean lighting, accurate color, great angles, and basic editing — all using your own camera or smartphone. No experience or special equipment required!

4BAF returns to Chattanooga's First Horizon Pavilion April 16–18, 2027. Ranked among the top 30 fine art festivals in the country, 4BAF brings together 140 artists from across the U.S. with $15,000 in cash awards up for grabs.

🌿 Birth Stories — Main Gallerywoods returns to AVA as our 2025 Best in Show recipient with a deeply personal new body of work exploring generational family legacy, motherhood, new life, and near loss. Expect multimedia works featuring natural dyes, inherited objects, and even collaborations with her children.

🗺️ Unexpected Places — Landis Education Gallery
Three Juror's Choice recipients from last year's juried show — , , and — come together in a bold, richly textured exhibition exploring how major life changes and unexpected sources have reshaped their practices. Abstract collage portraiture, densely layered mixed media, and immersive photography await.
