Founded in 1973, the organization has trained thousands of young people and involved thousands more through community engagement. The Chattanooga Ballet School offers a full curriculum of ballet classes as well as modern, contemporary, and tap classes for ages 3 to adult in an environment that fosters teamwork, healthy life choices, and promotes self-esteem. Our dancers spent a week in the studios working with Kara Wilkes creating “The Return,” a Contemporary Ballet work featuring all eight company dancers and a Contemporary Jazz score. Inspiration for "The Return" stems from research and concepts surrounding the complexities of being human while navigating the fast-paced, quickly changing Intelligence Age. The intricate 19-minute work looks to foster discussions about our relationships with the digital world, ourselves, and one another.

A huge thank you to Downtown Family YMCA - Chattanooga for supporting the professional dancers and staff at Chattanooga Ballet! Thanks to this partnership, our company can cross-train at the Y’s facilities to stay strong, healthy, and ready for the stage.

Chattanooga Ballet's Fall semester begins today, August 17th! 🩰

‼️CCS and BBS classes don't begin until the week of August 24th!

📍Studios at our Main Location (817B N. Market St.) include "Purple Lady", "Karen Smith", "Lobby", and "Creative Movement"

• Follow the driveway along to the gravel parking lot behind the building. Enter through the glass double doors on the side of the building to access our main lobby area.

📍Studios at CHA Ballet Annex (607 N Market St. Suite 102) include "Annex East" and "Annex West"

•Street parking is available on Market Street and Cross Street. Parking is also available at the Goddard School on weekday evenings after 5:30pm or all day Saturday.

We can't wait for our students to be back in the studios for another great year! 🧑‍🩰

Our Creative Movement classes for 3-4 year olds and Pre-Ballet classes for 5-6 year olds are great introductions to the world of dance! These fun filled classes are designed to help young dancers develop balance, coordination, flexibility, and rhythm!
