Studio edits are complete πŸ₯³πŸ’— I love this painting so much!!

There wasn’t much needed to bring this painting across the finish line. You can scroll to the right to see how the painting had looked at the end of the wedding night. I added a few more layers of paint to the dress, refined the fabric folds, added lace and corset boning details, made some minor adjustments to their facial features and the arbor.

A goal of mine has been to not β€œoverwork” my paintings. There’s so much magic in impressionistic brushstrokes. While I still plan to continue fully rendering the couple (as seen here), allowing the background to be more playful helps guide the eye to the couple (think of it like when the background of a photo is edited to be out of focus), and makes for an overall more interesting composition. The colors in this painting are so fun, magical, and warm!
