For her first show at OSP, Lydia Hamilton is playing Thelma, Farndale’s primadonna and certified voted “Miss Farndale,” nevermind the four recounts she demanded! Thelma fancies herself as made for the stage and takes this production *very* seriously; sometimes much more seriously than her peers. Of the different characters Thelma plays in the Murder Mystery, Lydia says: “My favorite character to play is Rose for sure. I just love that she's got her bestie pushing her around 24/7. Also her and Violet remind me of my mom and her best friend!”

Meet the members of the FAHETGDS that bring this hilarious play-within-a-play to life!

Claire Mitchell plays Felicity, who is awkward and nervous, but excited to fulfill her duties as a Dramatic Society member. "I love Felicity; she is just so gauche and clumsy both physically on stage and as a bit of an incompetent actress, but she is genuinely trying so hard. I think it's endearing," Claire says. Aside from the moments of audience participation, like with the "Murder Quiz," Claire says something that makes Farndale a unique show is how, "we are making mistakes and being awkward/unnatural actors on purpose. In a more standard show you *don't* want the set to fall apart or actors to miss their cues, but that's an intentional part of Farndale that gives it character and humor. I think audiences will find that aspect super entertaining!"

Meet the members of the FAHETGDS that bring this hilarious play-within-a-play to life!

Emma Veys plays Audrey, a Farndale member who means well and loves her Dramatic Society, but who is also easily distracted and doesn't adapt well to all the blunders of the production! That is one of the best parts of playing Audrey, Emma says, "my favorite thing about playing Audrey is that she gets absolutely nothing right — she misses cues, she flubs lines, and she giggles onstage all the time. I'm not saying it's never happened before, but this is the first time it's been the goal. She is so much fun to play!" Emma, actually hailing from England herself, has been our resident "British cultural knowledge and verbiage pronunciation expert," regularly helping us to make this show feel more authentic. Through the never-ending blunders and constant chaos you will see in this show, Emma says she still "would definitely join the Farndale society — there is never a dull moment with them!"
