6 yrs ago today. I had 3 healthy , funny living daughters.
6 yrs ago today. Life was great because I had 3 daughters that together we could take on the world.

Tomorrow 05/31 will be 6 yrs since I last held my daughter Skylar Grace. The last time she said I love you. The last time I saw her beautiful smile and heard her voice.

6 yrs and it seems like yesterday. The pain, the confusion, the most painful heart break that a mother could ever go through.

6 yrs since I got the phone call at 1:45 am from her eldest sister Kirsten. Words I’ll never ever forget.
Kirsten said “CeeCee something really bad has happened.” Me confused at why Kirsten is calling me crying from Stormi’s phone. I said what’s wrong. She said “ Skylar is dead.” I yelled at her and told her not to say things like that. Why would you say that?” She said CeeCee get over here now!!”
All I remember from there was Summer yelling at me in the car to slow down we are going to wreck. Everything felt like slow motion.

I’m not going to finish the rest of what I remember. But my sweet baby girl was killed in the most horrific way. Betrayed by pets, betrayed in safety of her own home.

I could not save her, I wasn’t given a chance to take her place. Everything was taken from me and her.
Half of me died with her that night. And more has died since then.

People say it’s been 6 yrs why haven’t you gotten better. I have no answers except my child was taken from me forever and in the most brutal way.

Words will never explain the pain of losing Skylar. Every single day is a struggle.

She deserves to be remembered for her love, smile, voice and the beauty 11 yr old little girl she was.

I love you baby girl so much!
