🏗️ WEEK 4 UPDATE — THE C.A.L.F. PROJECT IS BUILDING MOMENTUM! 🚜

Another week of progress is in the books, and the transformation at the Columbia County Fairgrounds continues! The future of agricultural education is getting closer every day. 🌱🐄

As Week 4 comes to a close, we’re checking off some major milestones as we prepare to move into the next phase of construction!

✅ Concrete work poured and completed
✅ Foundation walls installed
✅ Site work completed
✅ Preliminary plumbing work completed
✅ Electrical layout completed

The foundation is in place, the site is prepared, and the groundwork is being laid for what comes next. Now, it’s time to build! 🏗️

As we head into Week 5, construction of the new C.A.L.F. facility is set to begin! After more than 10 years in the making and over a year of planning and fundraising, it’s exciting to see this vision become a reality right before our eyes.

But this project is about more than a new building. It’s about investing in agriculture, supporting our youth and 4-H community, and creating opportunities for generations to learn about and experience agriculture right here at the Columbia County Fair.

🏗️ WEEK 3 UPDATE — THE C.A.L.F. PROJECT IS TAKING SHAPE!

Week 3 of the C.A.L.F. Construction Project is coming to a close, and the progress is exciting!

The site work is being completed, and we’re moving into the next major phase:

🚜 Site work — progressing
🧱 Concrete footings — poured
🏗️ Concrete walls — going up
🚛 Construction materials — arriving
🔺 Trusses — on site!

And the best part? The project remains on schedule, with construction of the new facility set to begin in Week 4!

Just a few short weeks ago, the site looked completely different. The old barns have come down, the ground has been prepared, and now we’re watching the foundation of the C.A.L.F. — Columbia Agricultural Learning Facility begin to rise.

This project has been more than 10 years in the making, with more than a year of planning, fundraising and preparation. What was once a dream is quickly becoming a reality.
