🚨NEW DIRECTOR FOR THE 2026-2027 SEASON🚨
Dear Chatfield Just For Kix Parents and Dancers,
We are writing to let you know Jasmin Steele will be resigning from the Chatfield Just For Kix Directors position after this season. We want to thank her for everything she has done for the program! Thank you Jasmin! We will miss you and wish you all the best in the future! See a note from Jasmin below.
We are also excited to announce Ariaya Herman will be the new Chatfield JFK Director for the 2026-27 season. Ariaya has been a part of the JFK family for a while (many of you already know her) and we feel she is going to be a great fit for the Chatfield program.
FROM JASMIN
Dear Chatfield JFK dancers and Families,
This is a bittersweet note to share. Being part of your children’s dance journeys has meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the memories and growth we’ve experienced together. It has been an honor to be a small part of your dancers' stories.
As many of you know, I work full-time as a pediatric diabetic nurse educator, have a busy toddler boy at home, and am now expecting a baby girl this June. With this new season of life, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my role as the director after the spring show. This was not an easy choice, but it is one that I know is right for my family and for this chapter ahead.
While it’s not easy to say goodbye, I feel so confident in Ariaya as she steps into this position. She is passionate, dedicated, and will continue to support and inspire your dancers. I am truly excited to see where the program blossoms in the future! Don’t worry, you will still be seeing my face at shows and competitions in the future!
With love,
Jasmin Steele
FROM ARIAYA
Hi everyone! My name is Ariaya Herman, and I am so excited to be the new director for Chatfield Just For Kix! Dance has always been my biggest passion. I started dancing at the age of three when I took my very first class. Growing up, I was part of Stewartville Just For Kix, Evolve Dance Studio, and the Stewartville High School Dance Team.
I went on to attend Mankato State, where I earned my degree in Social Work. I have now been coaching dance for four years, including the past two years with Chatfield Just For Kix. I am also the head coach of the Stewartville High School Dance Team.
Outside of dance, I love traveling, spending time with dogs, and fostering puppies for a local dog rescue. I am truly so excited for this opportunity and can’t wait for the upcoming season!
The Just For Kix home office appreciates your support of the new Director during the transition time!
