The Lions club is downsizing our chair collection. Chairs in the rack and pile by the Lions club garage are free.

They are still there today but might be going to the metal recycle bin at the DPW soon.

Community members gathered under the Centennial Park Pavilion Thursday evening, to help the Chassell Lions Club cut 1600 quarts' worth of strawberries for 5000 shortcakes. (July 9, 2026)

The wait is almost over! This weekend is the 78th Annual Copper Country Strawberry Festival!

​Join us this Friday, July 10th, and Saturday, July 11th, at Chassell Centennial Park for a sweet tradition. We have a full lineup of fun for everyone, including:

- ​A children's parade and a full parade
- ​Live music and a queen competition
- ​A craft and vendor show
- ​Children's games
- ​Chicken dinner and other food options
- ​Our famous Strawberry Shortcake

​We can't wait to see you there to help us celebrate 78 years of tradition!

It's that time of year again. Time to enjoy a delicious Chicken BBQ while supporting Chassell Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Make sure to look for the fire truck, come say hi to the first responders, and get your meal this Saturday at the Copper Country Strawberry Festival. 🍓 Compete for a $1000 scholarship and grow your confidence along the way! The Copper Country Strawberry Queen Competition is so much more than crowns and fancy dresses! It’s an opportunity to build interview skills, public speaking confidence, poise, leadership, and lifelong friendships.

This is NOT a beauty pageant. Contestants are scored primarily on their interview skills and communication abilities, making it an incredible experience for young women preparing for college, careers, and future leadership opportunities.

Step outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and discover what you’re capable of. You might walk away with the crown and a scholarship, but no matter what, you’ll gain confidence that lasts far beyond the competition. 🍓✨
