In my humble opinion, Fall Break is the perfect time to visit a museum AND to work on your Docent application! Let’s give one of our docents the spotlight to share why she joined (and why you should too)!!📝🍂

Introducing Cassie Nokes, a fourth-year Nursing major and Art History minor! Cassie is quite involved with the Fralin in many ways and joined docents for the community aspect of the program. Swipe to hear about some of her favorite museum memories since joining!! ➡️➡️➡️

You heard that right — you can apply to be a docent through the link in our bio! We would love to see you apply and join us in sharing art all over Charlottesville!! 🖼️✨

Also, you can stop by the museum THIS FRIDAY (9/25) at 7:00 pm to hang out with current Docents during Final Friday! Not only will it be a blast, it’s also a great time to fulfill the mandatory museum event requirement for your application 👀 Hope to see yall there!!

What Would Docents Do?? 💭
Being a docent can mean a lot of things, from leading tours to asking questions to stir the conversation. It’s a great way to get involved at the museum and to meet other art lovers!

We would love to see YOU apply to become a docent at the Fralin! Our applications open 9/18 and include both a written and an in-person component. For the in-person part of the application, you must come to one of our scheduled museum events, whether it be an interest tour at the museum (155 Rugby Rd) or an Office Hours session in Shannon, where you can discuss your application with our Vice Chair!

We hope to see your application as you ask yourself what YOU would do if you became a docent!! 🏛️🌟
