an eye for an eye doesn’t just leave the whole world blind; it’s a death wish for all of humanity regardless which side you’re on. i believe there is one race: the human one. any other perspective holds the seeds of human tragedy. hamas is not the people of gaza. hamas has betrayed the people of gaza. and now the war footing israel is taking brings us to the edge of a human catastrophe on a biblical scale. there’s no moral high ground in what now follows, when millions are made to pay for the horrific actions of a terrorist minority. many voices in israel are saying the same. “never again” should apply to all people. and the people of gaza are calling on the world not to witness in silence while a sword is raised over their heads. swift vengeance is an intoxicating substitute for the hard work of establishing peace and justice between peoples, sons and daughters of abraham, all. i believe there’s a better way…

The cruel economics, and poverty pockets, and neighborhoods gone one by one.
Lives don’t matter the same, and we can shift blame, when commerce always wins the day.

It’s time to honor black spaces and let loose the places where grace can have the final say.
