Every year, Charlottesville shows up to bet on its own entrepreneurs. Crowdfunded Pitch Night turns a room of strangers into investors, one pitch at a time. πŸ’›

R.L. Beyer Custom Homebuilders has believed in that spirit since day one - a presenting sponsor of Tom Tom from the very beginning, supporting the Festival every year from the Block Party, to the Innovation & Civic Futures Summits, Pitch Night, and more.

Thank you, R.L. Beyer Custom Homebuilders, for investing in Charlottesville's entrepreneurs and its future. πŸ™Œ

The C-Ville Weekly has been telling Charlottesville's stories for over 3 decades! πŸ“° Our partnership goes all the way back to the very first Tom Tom Festival in 2012.

Throughout the 2026 Civic Futures Summit, C-Ville Weekly's editorial team hosted Pitch Fest, an interactive storytelling lab at the Irving Theater in the CODE Building where attendees pitched ideas for future stories in any section of the newspaper. Between sessions, participants shared the issues, innovations, and voices they believe deserve greater attention across Charlottesville and the region.

Opening up the editorial process like that is exactly the kind of civic experimentation Tom Tom exists for, using journalism not just to report on change but to listen to the people creating it.

Thank you, C-Ville Weekly, for keeping Charlottesville informed. πŸ™Œ

Cville Innovates is a new coalition connecting leaders across business, nonprofits, academia, and government to move our region forward. 🀝

Announced at the 14th Annual Tom Tom Festival, this Future Forward Coalition, spearheaded by Tom Tom and the United Way of Greater Charlottesville, has grown into a real platform for collective action, tackling our region's toughest challenges together.

At the Civic Futures Summit, city and regional leaders, including Mayor Juandiego Wade, City Manager Sam Sanders, and Ravi Cooper, joined counterparts from Albemarle County, Chapel Hill, and Greenville to keep that momentum going, digging into housing, economic development, and community engagement.

The focus areas are clear: housing affordability, fiscal sustainability, economic vitality, workforce and education, creative placemaking, and transportation solutions.

A defining aspect of this year's Innovation Summit was the expanded partnership with the University of Virginia. πŸ§‘πŸ’™

This collaboration helped deepen the Summit's focus on cross-sector collaboration and innovation, with UVA Health, the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology, the Contemplative Sciences Center, the Manning Institute of Biotechnology, and UVA Innovates convening leaders from across the mid-Atlantic to explore some of the most important opportunities shaping the future of innovation.

"Community work is the best work.", Martize "Tez" Tolbert says it often, and he's exactly right. 🀝

Tez is the National Director of Client & Community Engagement at the Fountain Fund and a Tom Tom Foundation Advisory Board member. Every other month, the Fountain Fund hosts the One Stop Shop, an initiative that brings together dozens of organizations offering free IDs, healthcare, job connections, housing help, legal assistance, and more.

The most recent One Stop Shop, held outside the Jefferson School, focused on youth, bringing together organizations that serve young people alongside the youth themselves. We were proud to be one of the sponsors, and being there reminded us what this event is really about: music, energy, connection, and real resources changing real lives. We're honored to keep showing up for it. πŸ™Œ
