One of my brand new artworks which will be on view High Point Market with Wexel Art

10/02/2026

Eight of my Nesting artworks are on their way to High Point Market , where they will be on display in Wexel Art ‘s booth. I’m incredibly grateful for this dream come true opportunity and SO excited they will be on view at such a fabulous market.

I spent weeks making these, but framing them in Wexel shadow box frames was a breeze. 😅

Excited to show you more soon!

My Nesting series came to be during the pandemic, when we stayed at home and my son Lou (who was 2.5 at the time) would gather sticks which fell on our deck, or sticks and stones we would find on local walks.

We still love gathering sticks and stones now, over six years later. Ella (2.5 now) has started adding to our collection.

And when I find a beautiful stick myself, I imagine our little Holden put it there for me to find. Always in my heart. 🩵🕯️

Still inspired by nature. Every stick is different and gives a new shape to work with. Endless possibilities. ♾️

This artwork I made over the Summer, one of 12 commissioned artworks. I’m only now getting around to sharing them all.

A commission which got installed at the Revivalist restaurant at the 106 Jefferson Hilton Curio Collection by Hilton hotel about 5 years ago.

Incorporating stained glass and embroidery thread, Indiewalls asked me to create three artworks which paid tribute to the history of the site, as well as space exploration, which is very much tied to the city of Huntsville.

The building of the original hotel was destroyed in a fire, but I used historical drawings and imagery of the old building to shape these artworks.

These three artworks are installed in the dining room. One is a space rocket, another the original fireplace which once stood in the previous dining room and the third is a depiction of the original exterior of the building, under a full moon.

Swipe through to see some of my early sketches and the custom color palette I created for this project.

I made this 6” x 6” mini this Summer, a few days before seeing The Odyssey and scrolling through my unposted artwork pics, I JUST realized how much this one looks like a bow. It’s strung a bit differently than Odysseus’ bow with all those colors and angles and all, but still. 🏹

Kind of funny how these synchronicities show up, and in my case go unnoticed when I’m busy/tired/overwhelmed, but then come back into my awareness after some rest and quiet time.

Anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me? 🌝

Shop update! I’m happy to let you know I have new Nesting artworks coming very soon.

Different shapes, different sizes and a couple of framed minis!

New art drops are always announced to my email subscribers first and often sell out fast, so now is a good time to get on my list if you aren’t already (link in profile).
