What if your miracle was standing close enough for you to reach out and touch it?
Most of us would quickly jump at the opportunity if we knew that all it took was simply extending our arm. But what if you didn’t know the miracle in front of you? What if all you had was hope and desperation that maybe this just might work?
That’s where the woman with the issue of blood was. She tried everything for 12 years. She’d spent all she had only to get disappointed again and again when it didn’t work.
If we’re honest, many of us would’ve lost hope and would’ve stop pursuing a solution. But not this woman! Instead of thinking, “I’ve lost everything”, she had a “I’ve got nothing to lose!” perspective.
It’s easy to give up short when we’ve yet to encounter God in a situation that feels hopeless. Let this be your sign.
Sometimes we have to get “fight through the crowd, crawl through the dirt, just touch the hem” desperate. God is faithful. Keep seeking Him.

Prayer of the Day—
“Lord, I need you today and everyday. Help me to seek you in everything. If things get dark, help me to press in to your promises of peace & life more abundant. Help me to surrender the way that I think things should go so that I may receive your will for me and remain in your perfect plan for my life. I pray that I continue to encounter you in spirit & truth so that when others see me they encounter You, the one True Living God.. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

One encounter with Jesus can change everything. The woman at the well had no idea that she was standing in the presence of God. She traveled to the well during the hottest time of the day expecting (and maybe even hoping) to see no one. But there He was— Jesus! She had no idea that the Jewish man in front of her was God made flesh. She didn’t recognize the gift before her partially because:
1) she wasn’t expecting it
2) she definitely didn’t expect it to look like that AND
3) she didn’t feel worthy or qualified enough for it

How many times does God show up like that for us— when we least expect it, in a packaging that doesn’t make sense, when we least feel like we deserve it!
The woman at the well left filled and most importantly transformed.

What do you need to surrender so that God can fill you up?
What steps are you going to take today better recognize Jesus in your everyday life?
