๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป'๐ ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป, ๐ป๐ผ ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ต๐ผ๐ ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐น! ๐ง ๐๐ค ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐จ The Penguin Project ๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐จ? Originally created by Dr. Andrew Morgan, a pediatrician and lifelong theater lover, Dr. Morgan believed every child deserves a moment in the spotlight and he saw how the magic of the performing arts could lift up children with disabilities and help them to find their voice.
Theatre Charlotte is thrilled to be celebrating our second year of these wonderful shows and seeing their signature song, ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ'๐ต ๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ฑ ๐๐ฆ๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ๐ท๐ช๐ฏ', in action!
Designed specifically for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, the Penguin Project empowers youth to express themselves creatively through community theater, showing that passion and talent truly have no limits. These artists are paired with volunteer peer mentors, working side-by-side in an inclusive stage production. It's more than just a play โ this program builds confidence, new communication skills, lasting friendships, and an unforgettable community experience for us all!
