A pastor based in Lomé, West Africa, has gone viral after photos showed him preaching on stage while wearing a form-fitting blue floral jumpsuit and bright red high heels.

Pastor Elijah Courage has previously explained that he began wearing high heels after what he describes as a directive from the Holy Spirit several years ago. He has said that the footwear helps him preach more effectively and has continued wearing them both inside and outside of church.

Responding to criticism, Courage has argued that clothing should not be the measure of a person's faith or morality, insisting that true sin is found in the actions and intentions of the human heart.
