Hello! My name is Lys and I have officially rebranded my art account! I’m the artist behind Pipe Dream. My whole life I have been told that pursing art is a pipe dream. Something too fantastical to be real or come to fruition. I was convinced for a good majority of my life that I need to put that “pipe dream” on the back burner and do what’s expected of me. I tried that and it didn’t work. Everyday I wake up and this pipe dream is all I can think about. So f**k it, I’m gonna do it. No matter what it takes.

If you’ve followed me for sometime on this account, my background has been custom apparel, mainly sneakers, jackets, bags. I’ve been in a creative rut for years trying to find my style and after years of personal and professional development I found it. I found it in leather, linocutting/printmaking, and tattooing. My dream is to be a tattoo artist one day and I am hard at work practicing and building a portfolio doing so. I appreciate all the love and support I have gotten over the years. 23 AF1’s and counting! I started this commission back in June for SPARK program as a way of honoring their staff that take care of their patients here in NC and elsewhere.

This year has been full of commissions. It’s wild how one leads to the next. My friends at dropped my name and contact info at a table I wouldn’t have normally had access to and because of that it lead me to two major commissions, one with the ACC and one with . It’s been a joy working with them and I’m excited to see what comes out of staying the course!
