Celebrate Holidays in the City with music, Nutcracker, ACC and Santa!
What: Uptown Charlotte’s annual tree-lighting ceremony
Where: Corner of Trade Street and Tryon Street (The Square)

Lights lit around 6:30pm
Holidays in the City festivities are here, and Charlotte Center City Partners is bringing in some early holiday cheer with the annual tree lighting on November 29th. This free event uses holiday music, energetic entertainers, outdoor games, hundreds of lights, a giant tree and even the big man himself, Santa, to keep Charlotteans in the holiday mood.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Corporate Plaza
6:30 pm: VIP’s, ACC Mascots and DJ Drex from Kiss 95.1 light the Tree!
Disc Plaza
5:30-8:00pm: Christmas K 104.7 and Kiss 95.1 bring classic radio holiday music to get everyone feeling festive. You can’t miss them - they’re next to our giant inflatable reindeer.
Polk Park
5:30-8:00pm: Make sure you head down to Santa Village and get your free picture with Santa.
Independence Plaza
5:30-8:00pm: ACC mascots are here to gear everyone up for the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship. Mascots will take pictures and have games set out for fans. The ACC Trophy will also be available for display and pictures.

IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING
Holidays in the City is also collecting goods and monetary donations for Crisis Assistance Ministry, Mecklenburg County’s leading agency providing the working poor with emergency rent and utility assistance, clothing, household goods and furniture. Donations can be made at the tree-lighting ceremony.
