This week we had a full house! Walking down the hallway, you could hear our monthly rental rooms buzzing with music. An amazing soul band rehearsing right next to a rock drummer working on his chops. In our hourly National Room, The Life Church Charlotte's gospel band was preparing for their Sunday performances. At the other end of the building, we had jazz saxophonist Ziad Rabie leading his band as they prepared for a performance tonight (June 12th) at The Bechtler.

We are thrilled to be at the center of so much talent in Charlotte!

Great having iconic vocalist Jim McCabe in our building utilizing our IsoBooth for tracking vocals on new material for his band Yolk. Yolk is a dynamic rock band, blending funk, hardcore, metal, ska, jazz, and alternative rock, formed originally in 1992. Give them a follow on socials and keep up with live shows on their website. They’ll be performing at the Moe-Down festival in PA July 16th-18th.

Kofi consistently brings together world-class musicians and vocalists, creating vibrant performances that celebrate and elevate Liberian music—guaranteed to have you smiling and moving.

Our fully equipped rehearsal room, “The Production Room” was put to good use this week by the talented Gospel Singer Roy Ladson and his band Roy and Revelation as they prepared for a performance as a part of the 4th Annual Quartet Music Awards here in Charlotte. This was a small private rehearsal and preview performance with an audience. The band was incredibly tight, and the vocal harmonies were on point with an unmatched energy. Thanks Roy and Connie Birth of Quartet Music Awards for trusting us here at the Playroom for your event. Have a blast at the Awards show!
