The Great Westside Fish Fry works because it is curated with intention.
The energy, creativity, and sense of community people feel here are not accidental. They come from being thoughtful about who is invited to shape the experience. Chefs, DJs, artists, creatives, partners, and culture shapers who already give so much to Charlotte.
I’m a real fan of many of the people in this video because they create great things at the highest levels. Lucky for me, most also happen to live here, while being cool, grounded individuals who care about how they show up in their local community.
What Applesauce Group is building through The Great Westside Fish Fry is bigger than a festival. It is an offering of access, connection, and shared humanity expressed through food, culture, and the feeling of home.
There is something deeply beautiful about nationally acclaimed chefs recognized by the likes of Michelin, James Beard, Top Chef, Food Network, and more choosing to step away from their restaurant kitchens on one of the most important business days of their week to serve accessibly priced creative concept plates, inspired by their own cultural stories… Right here, at home on the Westside.
