Once again, it’s time to play… How would you hang it? Keep in mind, this piece is not done, but as it gets closer and closer to the finish line, viewing it from from the strongest orientation will help it come to its completion. I have a working theory that the first image will appeal to most, but prove me wrong!

“This Edge, Then The Next”

31“ x 49“, and now available!

Comfort has a way of disguising itself as wisdom.
The moment we become certain we’ve arrived, growth begins looking for another door.

What serves us for a season can become a fence if we’re unwilling to leave it behind. Not because it was wrong, but because it was only ever meant to carry us this far.

Every horizon asks the same question:
Are you here to settle, or to keep going?
This edge, then the next.

“Ahead of All Parting”

The title comes from a poem by Maria Rilke. Poem included below for your viewing pleasure….

49“ x 49“. Available!

Be ahead of all parting, as if it had already happened.
like winter, which even now is passing.
For beneath the winter is a winter so endless
that to survive it at all is a triumph of the heart.

Be forever dead in Eurydice, and climb back singing.
Climb praying as you return to connection.
Here among the disappearing, in the realm of the transient,
be a ringing glass that shatters as it rings.

Be. And, at the same time, know what it is not to be.
The non-being inside you allows you to vibrate
in full resonance with your world. Use it for once.

To all that has run its course, and to the vast unsayable
numbers of beings abounding in Nature,
add yourself gladly, and cancel the cost.

The plan for today:

Just a few hours left! Start the summer season strong by taking your artistry to the next level with my latest course, “Advanced Techniques in Raw Canvas.” If you are looking to deepen the soul of your work alongside it, “Inner Landscapes” is also available and grabbing the Bundle is the absolute best way to experience both!

Many artists struggle to achieve true depth and emotional resonance when painting directly on unprimed surfaces, often battling unpredictable paint absorption, muddy layers, or a lack of compositional control. These programs are designed to guide you step-by-step through the exact methods that transform those physical and creative challenges into your greatest expressive strengths.

Through these guided lessons, you’ll discover how to create a sophisticated balance between technical structure and raw spontaneity. You will master the nuances of texture, glazing, and intuitive mark-making, ultimately unlocking a freer, more authentic way to paint.

Once the doors close tonight, registration will remain shut for a long time. Don’t miss this limited window to invest in your practice, join our dedicated artist community, and master this powerful new skill set.
