What's Everyone Sewing?

• Anna Allen - Persephone Sailor Pants + Shorts
○ "Featuring a high waist pant and short, The Persephone pattern is based on photographs of men’s 1920s-’40s US Navy sailor pants, however the pants don't contain side seams! Intended to be made with woven non-stretch fabrics." Our new Sand-Washed cotton, Jubilee would work great.
• True Bias - Lora Dress
○ "An empire waist dress with four views; All views have underbust gathers, a self-lined bodice, and twelve loop buttons along the center front." Sleeves or no sleeves?? Either would be great in our variety of Cotton Lawns!
• Tessuti - Harlow Shirt Pattern
"A hip length button-through shirt with a soft, relaxed look. It features a swing back with center back seam, side seams that angle to the front and a split at the hem that creates a slightly flared silhouette." I have that gene that says a jacket is alright all year. Maybe try this in our Lightweight (108 GSM) Twill for a cool utility vibe.
• Seamwork - Chantelle Dress
○ "Chantelle is a body-skimming shirt dress with princess seams. Depending on your fabric choice, you could sew a modern denim dress, bring some color-blocked vibes from the '60s, or choose a ditzy floral print to go full '90s." Pleasedothedenim. Pleasedothedenim. Pleasedothedenim.
• Studio M Squared - The Minimalist
○ "Megan W designed this little bag way back in 2008 for a customer who wanted a mini purse to carry her cell phone, credit cards and few other essentials." I need this, badly. Quilting cottons work fine, and our recent additions are alllllll beautiful.
• I AM Patterns - Irma
○ "I am Irma, a dress and I can also be made as a shirt. I have a concealed button placket, my front is shorter than my back and on the back I have a back yoke with a large box pleat." Well Irma, I think those new fawn-print Woven Rayons would look lovely on ya!
• Oh Me Oh My - Amelia Dress + Romper
○ I found this on accident… but please get these printed, then bring the baby in with it! ANY of the Garden Variety bolts by Anna Maria Wovens would give this exact vibe, though I'm torn between Jester and Caramel.

Isn’t this adorable?! I’d love to see this made out of Zooey layered over a tank, t-shirt, or a bikini top!

SABAI Top by Susanne Müller
I’ve been eyeing this tank for 2 years! The drape, the simple sophistication just screams MAKE to me! Can you see this under the above poncho?! Oh my!! I think I’d use any of our DKs!

Sashiko Tee by Eleanor Mortenson
I think this is one of the most beautiful tops I’ve ever seen. Sashiko means “little stabs,” & is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique using running stitches to mend fabrics. Stash has a beautiful Sashiko tapestry hanging on the back wall.
This is so sigh worthy!

Fiber Art Field Trip 🚌

Recently visited socogallery to witness the greatness that is Katarina Sanchez’s (fiberess) recent art installation, Soft Grids.

It felt cozy… it felt… aligned… it felt inspirational, really. Maybe I’ll be inspired to pick up some sticks and knit something soon?

The books they carry at this gallery/bookstore were also eye catching. Our laceworkers and quilters may enjoy the ones I snapped photos of.

Sanchez’s work is on view until May 28th, so stop by soon.
