Having been a member in various folk and Jamband projects dating back to his college days, and most recently as the mandolin picker in indie-folk act Elonzo Wesley, Taylor Winchester is stepping into his solo pursuit as a singer-songwriter and performer. After releasing three singles in the midst of the 2020 pandemic, he is currently working on a debut full length album targeting a 2021 release.

 
Combining musical influences ranging from the likes of the Bob Dylan and Jeff Tweedy, to Nick Mulvey and Jim James, his songwriting embodies an ethos of a soul searching journey, while encouraging awareness around the abundant offerings found in a mindful, simple approach to life.

I’m finally getting around to sharing a few highlights from in early October.

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, it’s amazing to see what’s being cultivated here in my hometown. Still a young conference, but each year only gets better, and I’m honored to be a part of it alongside my fellow programming committee members.

I think what I love most about this conference is the diversity of representation across the industry. Be it the live side, the recorded side, the tech & startup side, or the independent artists speaking on a panel, it really is cool to see all these worlds colliding in one conference.

Big shout out to our friends and industry colleagues for coming to town and sharing some insights for those looking to grow their careers and pave their paths in the music industry.

Let’s do it again in 2026, shall we?

For many of y'all that don't know, the majority of my time is spent by day working with record labels, management teams, and live event promoters to assist in their marketing and paid media strategies.
