The first Memorial Day wasn’t born out of celebration — it was born out of remembrance. 🇺🇸🕊️

On May 1, 1865, in Charleston, South Carolina, formerly enslaved people gathered to honor fallen Union soldiers who gave their lives during the Civil War. They decorated graves with flowers, sang hymns, and created what many historians recognize as the first Memorial Day observance.

Today, we remember their powerful act of gratitude, freedom, and remembrance — and we honor every life sacrificed in service to this country. Never forget. ❤️🤍💙

From the first note to the last groove, the Oak Park High School Marching Legion came to WORK at the 2026 Spring Fest 🔥🎺

The stands turned into a whole concert when they dropped Chic’s “I Want Your Love” and had the crowd vibing from start to finish 😮‍💨🎶 Big energy, clean sound, and nonstop pressure at the Battle of the Bands hosted by the TUMMP Boosters at Linden McKinley STEM Academy!

If you know, you KNOW… this performance was a whole vibe 💯
