Join me for a truly unique painting experience on Saturday, 8/29 for a three hour watercolor floral workshop at the beautiful Ashley Masters Wellness Center here in Charlotte.

This event invites you to slow down, sip tea brewed by a master herbalist, and explore the expressive beauty of painting in a relaxed, inspiring setting. You’ll be introduced to the vibrant, fluid nature of watercolor inks as you create loose, abstract florals through an intuitive approach to color and composition. Rather than focusing on perfection, we’ll embrace play, experimentation, and the organic movement of the medium.

Tea service will be woven throughout the afternoon, creating a leisurely, creative escape where conversation, creativity, and quiet moments of inspiration come together. Perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike, you’ll leave refreshed, inspired, and with a one-of-a-kind floral painting of your own.

hi friends! it’s been a good while since I’ve hopped on here to say hi, and perhaps reintroduce myself to some of my newer friends and followers. first and foremost, thanks for following along with my brand Aaryn West.

I’m Aaryn - an artist and textile designer based out of Charlotte, NC, creating whimsical products and fine art with my flowing and colorful watercolor paintings.

I’m a painter, a textile designer, a card maker, a photo taker. A mom, a wife, a yogi, and lover of funk and soul music.

I’m still a child that loves to make people laugh and celebrate their every win. I’m a people person, through and through. I love hot coffee and driving by myself and early bedtimes.

I don’t consider myself a visual person - I think I’m an auditory person. Or maybe a tactile person - I even have a favorite type of fabric because it feels good.

New class alert!

Join me on 7/22 for my next class with SkillPop where we’ll be painting these fun cactus plants! I’ve sketched out a few variations for us to practice as we get to know watercolor inks and learn some basic techniques.

We’ll be meeting at Canteen at Camp North End at Camp Northend from 6:30-8:30 pm on July 22nd for this cute cacti painting session. All skill levels welcome.

I bring you this offering of floral inspiration as motivation to join me at my next class coming up on May 9th, where we will be diving into Watercolor Ink Florals!

In this 2 hour class, we’ll be exploring this vibrant and inky medium, learning basic watercolor techniques with guidance on how to blend colors and recreate various flower and leaf shapes in order to create unique, one of a kind compositions of our own. A great class for beginners or those looking to learn to expand or hone their painting skills.
