Charlotte Westies Charlotte West Coast Swing Community Welcome to Charlotte Westies' public "business" page. The purpose of this page is to:

We are very excited about growing the West Coast Swing community in Charlotte! Provide information about Charlotte Westies-sponsored West Coast Swing (WCS) activities in the Charlotte area, as well as major WCS events that are directly connected to Charlotte Westies.

2. Provide information about other nearby WCS events that may interest Charlotte-based WCS dancers, subject to the following guidel

ines. POSTING GUIDELINES
Facebook no longer allows non-admins to post on business pages like this one. If you have an event or post you would like considered for posting on this page, you must first post it elsewhere and make it available to the public, then send us a link to the post through Messenger. To help avoid unnecessary Facebook Timeline clutter, the following criteria is used to evaluate potential posts:

1. Timing and/or dates must not conflict with existing Charlotte Westies' scheduled events. This includes regularly-scheduled Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (Lynn's) dance nights.

2. Combination activities that primarily promote other dance forms (e.g. country, latin, ballroom, etc.) are considered to be Off-Topic and will not be posted.

3. Posts from established nearby WCS communities (e.g., GBS, GVL) are permitted subject to other restrictions listed here, including dates and times. These posts may include other dance forms as a SECONDARY dance only (WCS needs to be the primary appeal). Limit one post per event.

4. Posts for special workshops offered by Charlotte Westies' instructors are permitted, limit one post per event.

5. Messages promoting all other activities (non-Charlotte-Westies' workshops, long-distance events, cruises, etc.) will be considered on a case-by-case basis subject to the restrictions above. Note: See "Other Posting Options" below.

6. Personal messages (e.g., "chat" type messages) will not be posted. Note: See "Other Posting Options" below. OTHER POSTING OPTIONS
Charlotte Westies has established a Messenger-based Charlotte Westies Community Chat Group. This chat group offers various message categories and is available to the general public using the Mobile Messenger App. While the chat group is monitored by Group Admins, most messages that otherwise would not be approved here can be posted in an appropriate chat.
