Catch some rays and make some magic! For June’s monthly craft night, we are tapping into the gorgeous summer sunshine to create stunning Cyanotype Sun Prints.
If you’ve never tried it before, cyanotype is a vintage photographic printing process that uses UV light (good old sunshine!) to create brilliant, Prussian blue monochrome images.
Everything you need is included:
-Specially treated light-sensitive paper
-A selection of foliage, cutouts, and organic shapes
-Plexiglass plates to hold your designs perfectly in place while they bake in the sun
Make it personal: Want to customize your print? Feel free to bring your own items from home to use as shadows! Flat items work best under the plexiglass—think pressed flowers or unique leaves from your garden, lace, paper cutouts, flat keys, or sheer fabrics.
Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just looking to try something totally new, this is the perfect relaxed, creative night out. Come hang out, enjoy the summer vibes, and leave with gorgeous, ready-to-frame custom prints!
