We were just playing outside when this butterfly decided to visit both of my girls. 🥹🦋 First it rested on my youngest daughter’s hand, then it landed right on the flower in her sister’s headband. They were so gentle with it, and I’m so glad I caught this little moment.

Okay, this Halloween party activity is SLIGHTLY unhinged… but hear me out. 😂💀🎃

All you need is a partner + a roll of tape!

Pick your silliest pose, outline your partner, and turn it into a challenge to see who can create the funniest crime scene outline. Want to keep going? Let everybody decorate their outlines afterward!

Cheap. Easy. Ridiculous. My kind of activity. 😂

Give kids popsicle sticks, leaves, rocks and a story prompt…and LOOK what happens. 😍🏠📚

My daughter’s class created their own nature houses, but the part I loved most was that the project didn’t end with the build. Each student created a storyline inspired by their house and made it into a book.

They weren’t just crafting. They were designing, imagining, problem-solving and storytelling.

Little authors + little architects. 🥹

Sometimes kids need more than lessons. They need time to PLAY. 💦

My girls have taken swim lessons here and there, but one of the biggest changes I’ve seen in their confidence came from simply giving them lots of supervised time in the water to actually use those skills.

No drills. No constant instructions. Just PLAY.

And somewhere along the way, practice stopped feeling like practice. Now they’re underwater doing tricks and apparently building entire underwater cities that I’m required to visit. 😂

Sometimes play IS the practice. When kids feel safe enough to explore something over and over again, look at the confidence—and imagination—they can build. ❤️

The vacuum might be bigger than her, but listen… SHE wanted to learn 😂😂

I’ve always introduced my girls to chores when they start showing interest. You wanna hold the dustpan? Come on. You wanna rinse the dishes? Pull up a stool. You wanna vacuum? Baby, have at it. 😂

I figure if they’re curious about helping, that’s the perfect time to teach them.

I know the birthday-party invitations can feel nonstop 😩🎁 But after hearing that some kids invite their whole class and only 1 or 2 children show up, I started looking at those invitations differently. If we’re available, we’re showing up. ❤️ Even if we can’t stay long, I want my girls to learn that showing up for their friends matters.
