What a wonderful experience to see this lil cardboard maquette be realized in steel!

“Connect Four” was fabricated by in Durham and is installed outside in Charlotte. I’m grateful for and SouthPark Community Partners for their support of this project and look forward to seeing how the work changes with the shifting light of day.

We had a smooth installation thanks to who ensured I kissed the final bolt. It’s ever so satisfying to create a public work! Thanks to Kayla and Daniella who witnessed the installation while working nearby and were the first to engage with this sculpture. Your enthusiasm made my day! Can’t wait to see how others experience this sculpture.

Thanks Ilse and Susan for bringing this show together. I’ve enjoyed having color conversations with these artists and look forward to seeing our works in conversation.

I’ll be showing tapetes that were made with Licha Gonzalez Ruiz and Agustin Contreras Lopez in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca this past spring. Here are a few behind the scenes pics.

I helped create this school-wide textile project for my daughter’s school fundraiser and hope it brings in lots of money at tonight’s auction. Every student made their mark, and the result is a colorful quilt that both reflects and celebrates Morehead Montessori, where unique individuals unite to create a harmonious whole.

We’re so grateful for the amazing, hard-working teachers and staff at Morehead, as well as the school’s ambitious PTA. Thanks to their efforts, all students are provided school supplies and snacks, as well as financial support for other school activities such as field trips and extracurriculars.

Well, that was a fun opening! Big thanks to for supporting my work and being such a great host. I loved reconnecting with Charlotte folks, and it was wonderful to share the experience with friends who travelled to be there, especially my dear mother!

Anne Buckwalter and I will have our solo shows on view through April 9th. Hope you’ll have a chance to see them!
