Preparation has begun! I purchased a Think Tank Mindshift backpack last year and haven't looked back. It's perfectly balanced no matter how much gear I stuff into it. It feels like nothing on my back. Some of what's inside:

I'm going back! Iceland - I just can't stay away. Which means I absolutely must post this video from my first visit (2019), when we were evacuated from our coastal hotel due to a hurricane! We stayed further inland for the (unbelievably windy) night. We were unable to leave until around 3 the following day.
I convinced Lisa Aurora Campbell to do her best impression while the storm was winding down. Nailed it. BTW - there was a set of wrought iron furniture outside of those rooms you see when she moves to the right... the wind took them who knows where.
Hoping for better weather this time, although we will make the best of it regardless. So I can bring back more images like this!

Were you somewhere in the world for this year's Solar Eclipse? Iceland? Spain? Eclipse prints make a great gift - for anyone who experienced it, or missed it due to clouds. A great memory and conversation piece.

The first is a composite showing the different phases. The other shows full totality. I'm working on a 3rd which will be a pano of the 3 main phases (just prior to totality, totality, diamond ring).

In anticipation of this years Solar Eclipse, I've created a composite of eclipse phases. I've been lucky enough to experience 2 solar eclipses in the area of totality and was hoping to be in Spain for this year's event, but other plans got in the way.
This composite uses shots from the 2017 and 2024 eclipses.

If you miss it, or the skies are overcast wherever you are for the eclipse, here is a chance to own a print of what it would have looked like.

Foggy forest paths are my happy place. This is another shot from my recent trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were hoping to photograph sunrises and sunsets - but Mother Nature had other plans. Thick fog - the thickest fog I've ever seen! So we did a 180 and changed our goals. OK by me!

This was along the Craggy Gardens trail. The rhododendrons were just beginning to bloom but no matter as the fog created all the mood I needed.

I am honored to have my work chosen for the Novant Health Photography Show that will be up from July - November 2026! Opening reception is July 17, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 at the Novant Medical Center Cafe.

The theme is "Light the Way". This print of the Live Oak Alee at Brookgreen Gardens captures that feeling perfectly.

Either way - horizontal or vertical - this piece as a large print would definitely make a statement in your home or office. They both work. It just depends on the space you are working with.
