Loved getting to work with these two beautiful young dancers- Sadie Renee Kern and Jocelyn Frances Kern at Andrew Bowen Studios. We had a full day, filled with lots of fun, costumes, tiaras, and tons of laughs. Thanks, girls and Andrew Bowen, for such a wonderful day! The first day of TutuSchool-Charlotte! So much fun to see some old friends and meet new ones. Jeremy Bernardoni taught men's doublets today, Summer Collins taught Basic Leotards, and Claudia taught a new, 16-piece peasant bodice pattern. Tonight we made some dance boots. Lots of excellent, creative work! Tomorrow, we finish the men's projects, and move on to a few tiaras, some dance dresses and Advanced Leotards. Here in the Charlotte area? Stop by the Comfort Suites, Pineville and see all of the beautiful creations!

Pictures from Gelsey Kirkland Ballet's wonderful Don Quixote. Tiered Spanish dress by Tutu.Com. The skirt patterns are available in XS, SA, MA, and LA and are not hard to make. Bodice is our 6-piece pattern. We used red organza and black ruffled lace for the skirt and stretch velvet, lined with powernet for the bodice.
