The fruits of the Venue Access Grant are starting to grow – does that metaphor work in springtime? Perhaps they should be flowers! The creative flowers of the Venue Access Grant are starting to bloom, and we have musical events, entrepreneurship events, dances and dance performances, and much more lined up for you.

This April, we are beginning to see the fruits of the Arts & Science Council's new Venue Access Grant — and the first two events funded by it are happening this week!

We have so much more in store this month, including the Long Room debut of Play More Charlotte, an incredible dinner and concert with One Voice Chorus, the return of Frank Expressions and DJ Fannie Mae, and much more.

On Tuesday evenings at The Long Room, we are lowering the barriers to accessing our venue for creatives and non-profits even further than ever before, and we are now hosting some very special events on Tuesday evenings!

Artistic Tuesdays are informal, low-cost, social, and arts-focused. You'll experience something beautiful and still be home before it gets late. And of course, every other night of the week can bring something exciting and unexpected at The Long Room. Here are some gems to be discovered this coming month at our venue! 👉

It's a busy week full of love and lust at The Long Room!

💃 Wednesday: Join TONIGHT! for a special Valentine's themed Tango Wednesday – Valen-tango! Intro Lesson @ 7 PM / Int. Lesson @ 7:45 PM / Práctica @ 8:30 PM.

❤️‍🔥 Friday: The Long Room presents for a night of love and wonder featuring local burlesque, dance, live music, and circus art! PLUS a special alternative tango performance by our very own Sarah Harkins & Matthew Seneca.

🌹 Saturday: We welcome back DJ Fannie Mae for Fannie's Hang Suite: Addicted + Love edition. The event will be an intimate live music and DJ experience exploring love, desire, and the songs we can’t let go of.

🎭 Sunday: The celebrations of love keep on coming with Le Secret Noir: A Masquerade Ball hosted by SocialytesCLT! This New Orleans-themed masked ball is the perfect combo of Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras!
