On September 23, 24, and 25, Dance Lab will present Rosie Herrera for a performance practice workshop that will culminate in a public showing. This workshop is free thanks to a SouthArts Grant.

Rosie is a q***r Cuban-American choreographer based in Miami. She’s a 2016 US Artist Sarah Arison Choreographic Fellow, a 2010 and 2018 MANCC choreographic fellow, a 2014 Bates Dance Festival Artist in residence, a 2016 Bessie Schoenberg Fellow and a 2011 and 2016 Miami Dance Fellow. She was awarded a Princess Grace Choreographic Fellowship for her work with Ballet Hispanico in 2013. Most recently she was awarded a 2024 Guggenheim Choreographic Fellow and is the 2024 inaugural Knight Choreographic Fellow.
