This is absolutely the way to connect with the audience. Technique, notes, rhythms - they’re all secondary. (Intonation is kind of important, though.)

You know us — but do you know ALL of us? 👀

If you’re following UptownSound here, you’re in exactly the right place for everything UptownSound — our concerts, our singers, our shenanigans, and all the things happening with this group.

But UptownSound is also part of something much bigger.
Queen City Performing Arts is growing, with multiple ensembles making music all across Charlotte — each with its own sound, personality, performances, and community.

And there’s a LOT going on. ⬇️ Case in point.

So if you want to keep up with the whole QCPA family — new ensembles, upcoming performances, special events, collaborations, announcements, and whatever we get ourselves into next — make sure you’re following the Queen City Performing Arts page, too.

Contemporary a ca****la transforms the human voice into an entire band. Rich harmonies, driving bass lines, soaring melodies, and dynamic vocal percussion come together to create a sound that’s energetic, intimate, and unlike anything else.

Join Uptown Sound, Queen City Performing Arts’ newest contemporary a ca****la ensemble, for Pick Your Poison — a high-energy cabaret exploring temptation, resilience, heartbreak, and triumph. Featuring favorites like Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy, MUNA’s Stay Away, and Florence + the Machine’s Dog Days Are Over, Pick Your Poison showcases the versatility, power, and sheer fun of contemporary vocal music.

Whether you’re a lifelong a ca****la fan or simply love great pop music, come experience lush harmonies, infectious rhythms, and the remarkable artistry of the human voice — up close and personal at RSVP South End.
