So incredibly proud of the Protégés and their group exhibition RACONTEUSE. This is just a taste of opening night at Camp North End. If you missed it we hope you’ll join us Saturday from 12-6pm. Spoken word performance by Mahala at 1pm and 4pm and artist talk with all the protégés at 2pm.

Protégé Jaillin Johnson is a busy bee! 🐝 That’s because the group exhibition, RACONTEUSE opens this Friday, April 1 from 6-9pm at Camp North End.

Jaillin will be highlighting how generational stories passed down from the mouth of elders to the ears of their subsequent kin are often how the history of Black and various African diasporic branches is spread and celebrated. As elders age — accumulate more stories and heirlooms — their minds become libraries and their homes become museums.

RACONTEUSE will also be open on Saturday, April 2 from 12-6pm, with an artist talk at 2pm!
